I honestly cannot remember changing big J's nappy when we were out and about, it was 13 years ago and I can't remember whether there was a problem or not. Nowadays I am so aware that some changing room facilities are only located in the ladies which can cause a problem for Daddy when he is out and about. Daddy changes nappies too so its surprising how many places just don't cater for this.
Even when we are out as family, Daddy always likes to change little J. Its not that I don't want to its just that I am not a fan of those changing tables that are attached to the wall and fold down. I don't think they look safe at all and I am not very confident changing him on that type of table. So when there is one of these changing tables and its only in the ladies it does cause a problem. Its also shocking to see some places don't even have baby changing facilities which is crazy.
For the third year, Sudocrem Care and Protect have launched the Baby Changing Room Awards. The idea is to encourage retailers to improve their baby changing rooms and also to recognise the best out there.
Having good baby changing facilities can make a trip to the shop or elsewhere so much easier.
The public can vote for who they believe has the best baby changing room facilities. I voted for the intu Trafford Centre last year as we have always thought that their standards are high and suitable for both Mummy's and Daddy's. They didn't win last year, Sainsburys in Wandsworth London took the crown. I will be voting for the intu Trafford Centre again this year so fingers crossed they get lots of votes.
It's easy to get involved all you need to do is nominate a changing room, why you have nominated and send a photo via Sudocrem website. Closing date is 13/12/15 and the entries will be judged by Nick Wilkie and Sudocrem. The winning baby change room will receive a special certificate and the use of Sudocrem Care and Protect Baby Changing logo. Everyone who nominates will be entered in to a prize draw to win one of several prizes including a short break to Knoll House, Britains original family friendly hotel.
Will you be nominating in the Sudocrem Care and Protect Baby Changing Rooms Awards?
Who will get your vote?
