Pampers Unicef Partnership - Wishes

If someone asks me to make a wish I always think about my boys. I never think about myself and what I want my thoughts go to them instantly. Being a parent you put your children first always. I have been following the Pampers Unicef Partnership - Wishes campaign recently and my one wish is always, that I want the best for my boys. I want them to be happy and healthy. I'm sure all parents think alike but not everyone gets their wish.

Maternal and newborn tetanus may not be a disease that you’re familiar with, but it affects families in some of the poorest areas of the world and occurs when newborns are infected as a direct result of unhygienic birthing practices. Once newborn tetanus has been contracted there is no real cure and it still claims the lives of 49,000 newborns every year, which is equivalent to one baby’s life every 11 minutes.

Ten years ago Pampers made a wish. Their wish was to help eliminate newborn tetanus everywhere through their partnership with Unicef.

10 years have now passed and Pampers have helped eliminate the disease in 17 countries. This is huge and something they should be very proud of but like most things there is still a long way to go.
So on their 10th birthday of the campaign, Pampers are asking you to watch the "Wishes" video of babies making wishes around the world to help protect babies at risk from newborn tetanus.
For every view, Pampers will donate 1 life-saving vaccine.
And every time you share the video on social media, Pampers will donate another life-saving vaccine.
That's 1 view = 1 vaccine and 1 share = 1 vaccine.
You can also help in store to by purchasing packs of Pampers’ 1 pack = 1 vaccine' campaign is in store from October to December this year.
Whenever you buy special UNICEF packs, Pampers will donate a life-saving vaccine to a mother and baby at risk of Maternal Newborn Tetanus.
If your little ones are now out of nappies you can also get involved via Social Media. Tweet a picture of your little one blowing out a candle using #PampersUNICEF and a vaccine will be donated.
This really is an amazing campaign so do get involved. One small gesture really can make a huge difference to mothers and babies around the world.
