TMNT Half Shell Squeeze 'Ems Review

When I was younger I absolutely loved the Turtles, I would watch it every morning on Sky One. I had the figures and Raphael was my favourite. Thinking back now I remember I wanted to be just like the reporter April O'Neil. When we were offered the chance to review a TMNT Half Shell Heroes Squeeze 'Ems from Flair Plc I was really excited. It's nice that the Turtles have made another comeback and little J can enjoy them like I did.

When it arrived I knew little J would love it. The idea is you squeeze the Turtle, so I showed little J where to press (on his shell on his chest) and watched what happened. It was so funny. Once little J had pressed the shell Leonardo's eyes and tongue popped out. Little J burst out laughing. He also talks and makes noises. We found the longer we squeezed the louder he got. We did have to help with the pressing as it was a little tough although I am hoping that it loosens over time.

I have to admit that we did find this very amusing. Leonardo burps and makes noises and then will randomly say 'awkward'

As a toy Leonardo was bigger than we had expected. He is chunky and sturdy and perfect for little J's age range (3).

Little J has actually used him as a toy whilst playing as well as using him as a Squeeze Em's.

What We Loved

Sturdy and Strong.

Chunky, perfect for little hands to get a good grip on.

Very amusing. Little J copies all the noises and when Leonardo burps little J now says 'Awkward'

What Could Improve

The part of the shell you squeeze was a little tough to begin with. We had to help.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Squeeze 'Ems are available from good toy retailers and online at Amazon and would be perfect for Christmas. Also you can visit the Turtles Toy Collectors Club for more information on TMNT toys plus competitions too.
