Review | Silk Filled Pillows

This weekend we will be putting our Christmas tree and decorations up and I can't wait. I have started to add a few Christmas themed bits around the house already including my festive place mats and Christmas bedding. We were recently sent some Silk Filled Pillows which we have added to our 'Walking In A Winter Wonderland' bedding and our bed has never been cosier.

We were actually due to change our pillows soon as I think we have had them for a couple of years. I had no idea you should change your pillows every 18-36 months depending on the type of pillow. We have never had silk filled pillows before, in fact for as long as I can remember we have always used memory foam pillows so this has been a big change for us.

The pillows are soft and your head just sinks in to them. They are definitely a luxury pillow with Mulberry Silk Wrapped Around a Synthetic Silk Microfibre Inner Core to Provide Support.

The pillows are hypoallergenic and totally clean. No dust-items or microscopic life. The quality of the Mulberry Silk is so high that no treatment of any kind is required.

I was actually surprised to read that the Mulberry Silk interior is natural and hypoallergenic which means it can help delay skin ageing and nourishes and protects your hair. I wouldn't have thought you can get that kind of protection from a pillow.

The pillows are also recommended for Asthma, Allergy and Eczema Sufferers too which is great. We are so lucky that we don't have any problems with allergies or eczema but John did suffer from Asthma as a child and even now sometimes, especially during the night, he gets a cough and breathless.

We are loving our new pillows and although the difference from a memory foam to silk filled has taken a little bit of time to get used to we are definitely getting a good nights sleep.

You can read more about The Silk Filled Pillows by heading over to Silk Bedding Direct and they are currently available to buy online.
