The puzzle is 100 pieces in total and each piece is big enough for little hands to piece together. I was really happy with how well little J completed it, He didn't need much help.
He went through every piece and pulled out all of the edge pieces. Unfortunately the bottom left piece was actually missing from the puzzle even though it was new and sealed. I have informed Hape in case there was a batch of puzzles that went out with a piece missing. Luckily little J doesn't seem to mind and as the piece is the bottom corner it doesn't really effect the puzzle.
Little J enjoyed completing all the edge pieces and got to work on the middle. The pieces have different animals, landmarks and people who live in the countries so it was a nice way for us to talk about the countries in more detail.
Once we had completed the puzzle I then realised that the puzzle then doubles up as a game. It's similar to Snakes and Ladders were you have to reach the top of the board first.
Little J was thrilled when we realised as he loves Snakes and Ladders. It's one of his favourite games.
The game has four wooden pieces that have travellers on them and a wooden dice. It's a lovely game and you get to travel through the countries racing to the top of the board.
Little J loves his Hape 2 in 1 World Puzzle and I do too. I think it's a great idea having the puzzle and game in one, a lovely design and easy to play.
The Hape 2 in 1 World Puzzle is recommend 5 years plus and has 100 pieces. You can find out more by visiting Hape.
