Last month John and I got the chance to have a couple of days away, just the two of us. We haven't been away without the kids for over 10 years so we were excited at the idea of going abroad but had no idea where to choose. After lots of research we chose Nice, France. We had no idea what to expect, if three days in Nice was enough but we went with it. We browsed so many hotels but we found a little gem on booking.com and we instantly fell in love with it.
What To Expect When Staying At La Villa Nice Promenade, 1 Rue Saint-Philippe, 06000 Nice, France
La Villa Nice Promenade is a beautiful hotel located just 50m from La Promenade des Anglais. The Villa is really modern with its instagram worthy decor but still offers a real comfortable environment. The Villa also has traces of the past remaining with its traditional Nice structure.
Reception is small and doubles as a bar with a variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. There was always staff on hand to answers any queries or just to welcome us back to the Villa. Staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful.
The lounge offers a real relaxing space with a comfy chairs and charming decor. There is an office space equipped with a computer and a monumental settee at your disposal to work or chat at.
Breakfast is served in the dining area however we did not use this service although it looked delicious. At the reception there is the chance to make your own pizzas if you are feeling peckish, this is chargeable. Outside there is a lovely seating area at the front of the hotel with table and chairs or comfy sofas.
The hotel is accessed at street level via a gate which has to be scanned with the room key. This leads on to the car park where parking is with pre reservation only and costs 20€ per night. There is limited parking so pre booking is essential.
The location of the hotel is perfect with the promenade and beach just being a short 2 minute walk away. There is a supermarket across the road and restaurants and bars also just a short 2 minute walk away.
La Villa Nice Promenade has a variety of rooms to suit all needs. Each floor of the hotel is decorated beautifully and also named. We stayed on the English Garden Floor.

We couldn't fault our stay at La Villa Nice Promenade. The villa itself is so pretty, felt really safe and the location was absolutely perfect. It really did make our first trip to Nice more enjoyable having a hotel so close to the amenities and local attractions.
La Villa Nice Promenade is just 1 of 6 hotels within the La Villa group. It would be lovely to look at the other locations and after our stay in Nice I would definitely be interested in looking at what else La Villa had to offer.
