Disclosure - We were invited to see Ghost Stories at The Lowry. All thoughts, opinions and photos are our own.
I have enjoyed visiting the theatre ever since my visit to London to see Grease at The Dominion Theatre when I was 16. I fell in love. Musicals have always been my go to at the theatre but over the past few years we have experimented with other genres and we are loving it. We have seen some amazing shows such as Murder On The Orient Express, Murder In The Dark, 2:22 A Ghost Story and Wish You Were Dead. As you can see these all come under murder mystery and ghosts so when we got the opportunity to see Ghost Stories we were really excited and we had no idea what to expect.
Ghost Stories
Since its first London run, Ghost Stories has been turned into a movie and the play has travelled all over the globe. The show has been seen by so many people all over the world including critics and it's amazing how little you can find out about the show as the plot has been kept so secret. I am the same, although I want to write about Ghost Stories I honestly think not knowing what to expect adds to the whole experience.
Our Thoughts
I screamed, alot! I also watched the last 15 minutes with one eye closed and the other eye partially covered with my hand. I would definitely say it's not for the faint hearted. The use of visual and audio adds to the atmospheric show. I obviously do not want to give you any spoilers and I won't but what I will say is that the theatre was full and I think everyone throughly enjoyed it. The show is 90 minutes long with no interval and you are told at the beginning that if you wish to leave for any reason you will not be readmitted.
Are you intrigued? If so I would highly recommend catching it on it's latest tour and details are below.
