Disclosure - We were invited by Jet2 Holidays to Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel for the purpose of this post. All thoughts, opinions and photographs are our own.
We have been saying for a little while now that we would love to enjoy some Winter sun this year and after a lot of thought and checking out some options we decided to visit Tenerife for some much needed sun and time together as a family. As you all know already if you've checked out our previous holiday reviews we are very cautious when it comes to booking a holiday, they are expensive and you want to make sure it has everything you want from a holiday. As we have booked through Jet2 Holidays in the past when we visited Estival El Dorado and Estival Islantilla we were happy to book through them again. Jet2 Holidays offer a range of all inclusive holidays in Tenerife and we definitely picked a good one.
If you’re looking for a sunny escape during the colder months, Tenerife is the perfect destination. We recently enjoyed an all-inclusive stay at the Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel with Jet2 Holidays, and in this review, we’ll share everything you need to know about the flights, accommodation, dining, pools, and entertainment options.
Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel had everything we wanted for a 4 night Winter sun getaway during half term.
Getting to Tenerife with Jet2 Holidays
Our holiday began with Jet2 flights from Manchester Airport on a very cold and wet Sunday Morning. As always with Jet2 we were kept informed throughout our time at the airport with their Jet2 App. It's free to download and you can add your holiday booking details on to the app and everything you need to know is on there including live flight updates.
Flights to Tenerife are 4hrs and 45 minutes from Manchester however it went so quickly. We find Jet2 flights comfortable and staff are always friendly and on hand should you need them. They offered bar service three times throughout the flight which was excellent. You could pre-order meals beforehand if you wanted to but if not they had a wide range of hot and cold snacks on board including meal deal offers.
Duty free came round towards the end of the flight and they had some really great offers which we couldn't resist, buying some fragrances at really good prices.
We were kept up to date of our progress from the flight deck several times throughout the flight which is perfect for us especially as John isn't a huge fan of flying. He likes to know how we are doing and exactly where we are in the world so these updates are invaluable.
When we landed in Tenerife we were through passport control and baggage claim so quickly that we were soon heading out of the airport and looking for Jet2 Holidays representatives who were waiting to greet us and could not be missed in their famous red uniform. We told them our name and our hotel and they gave us a bus number for our express transfers. I wasn't sure what an express transfer was however I learnt that express transfers mean you are guaranteed to be one of the first 3 drop offs and one of the last 3 pick ups which was perfect.
Getting to Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel was only about 20 minutes and we were first to be dropped off and we couldn't wait for our Winter sun holiday to begin.
Check in was quick and simple. We were given lots of information which was then given to us in a brochure so we had the information to hand throughout our stay. We were also given a map which helped us reach our room that was ready for us in the Annexe Building of the resort.
Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel – Room Review
There are two accommodation buildings at Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel. You have the main hotel building and the Annexe Building.
Our room was a 2 bedroom room and it was huge. As we entered the room there was a twin bedroom to the left. This had Two single beds and a large wardrobe behind two sliding doors. The wardrobe also had a set of drawers built in.
In the corridor there was tea and coffee making facilities, a large mini fridge and a bin.
The bathroom was off the corridor and featured a huge walk in shower. The bathroom had lots of space for toiletries and hand soap, shower gel and shampoo was provided.
The main bedroom area was huge. Our bed was two large singles pushed together, there was a desk area with chair, a comfy chair, TV and a large wardrobe with three sliding doors. There so so much storage space for clothes which is perfect for us as we never pack light even for just 4 nights!!!
There was a safe in the room which we used however there is a small charge per night of around 3€ to use this. We heard some guests on check in who were not happy that there was a charge however we decided to pay as we keep all our valuables in it including our passports so a couple of euros is worth it to us.
The balcony overlooked the leisure pool and was a lovely and peaceful place to sit and watch the world go by.
We were really impressed with our room size and also the location. We were so close to the bar, main pool and leisure pool.
Housekeeping was every day that we were there (Sunday-Thursday).
Dining & All-Inclusive Experience
We will always try to choose an all inclusive option if available as it suits us as a family. I love how all inclusive gives the boys the freedom to choose drinks, ice-creams and food as and when they want it.
There are 6 bars and restaurants at Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel. Each bar and restaurant offers something a little different. If you are heading out for the day you can let reception know the day before and they will make you a picnic lunch. We didn't use this when we headed to Siam Park Waterpark for the day as own food is not allowed in the park.
Restaurant +Fun
Located on the ground floor, this restaurant is were you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast and Dinner both have 2 time slots and on arrival we were asked to pick the early or late for both however they were very flexible but I'm not sure if they could be as flexible during the busier Summer months.
Breakfast is served between 7:30-10:30am
Lunch is served between 1-3pm
Dinner is served between 6:30-10pm
We ate at Restaurant +Fun for breakfast and dinner most days. The food was amazing and probably one of the best all inclusive we have been to. There was so much variety and usually the 'kids area' is just chicken nuggets and chips but not here. There were mini burgers, hot dogs, pasta, spaghetti, waffle fries, wedges, chicken tenders and so much more. They made it so appealing to young ones and our son loved eating from the kids area as well as the main dining area.
Drinks are all self serve with soft drinks, water, tea and coffee, a variety of bottled wines and the local beer Dorada.
The desserts were amazing too with so much choice of cakes, mousses, jellies and even a chocolate fountain. There was plenty of fruit, ice cream and sweets too.
Strelitzia Bar
Located on floor one and is open 10:30am-11:30pm. The Strelitzia Bar offers food during the day if you don't want to head to the main restaurant. We ate snacks in the Strelitiza Bar which overlooks the main pool, They had a large selection of hot food and my favourite the pasta and salad bar. There were also desserts each day such as cakes, doughnuts, fruit, ice cream and sweets. Drinks available are soft drinks, water and hot drinks. There are also staff on hand to help if you want different drinks from behind the bar. Staff make some great cocktails which are included in your all inclusive, and the beer here is served in proper pint glasses in the evening which makes a nice change from the plastics used during the daytime.
I'm not quite sure what time the snacks stop however my guess is around 5-5:30pm The bar remains open for drinks after this time until close.
Atlantida Bar
Atlantida Bar is located at the Leisure Park. It's open 10am-5pm and serves drinks and snacks. The leisure park is located away from the main hotel so it's perfect to have the snack bar close by which saves you heading back and forth for drinks throughout your visit to the leisure pool. The Leisure Park is open to the general public however they have to reserve a ticket prior to their visit.
Funcy Bar
The Funcy bar is located close to the main pool and very close to our hotel room in the Annexe. It offers pour your own beer, soft drinks, water and hot drinks. There is also staff on hand to help if you want different drinks from behind the bar. You can also grab an ice cream here too.
FunAttic
Located on the 8th and top floor the FunAttic bar is strictly adults only. As we were travelling with our son we didn't use this bar.
4EverFun
4EverFun is on the ground floor and offers bar service between 7:30-12:30am. This is a music and entertainment venue and I'll speak about it more in detail under entertainment.
Pools at Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel
Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel offers 4 pools to visitors each offering a unique experience.
Main Family Pool
The main pool is popular choice for families as it is heated in the Winter months (however it was still quite cold but still enjoyable). The pool starts off shallow so you can walk in and perfect for those with babies and toddlers. Once inside the pool it's 1.4m so older children can stand up easily.
This pool has daytime entertainment and is located next to the Funcy Bar. There are plenty of sun loungers and it was never a struggle to get a lounger at any time of the day.
Open daily 9am-6pm
Leisure Park
This is located behind the Annexe and as mentioned earlier it is open to the public with a reservation. This pool is lovely to look at as it surrounds an island however it was freezing cold. As the temperature isn't as warm as the Summer months the pool just did not heat up at all so it wasn't as popular as the main pool. It has more character and it offers massage chairs and a jacuzzi but it was just too cold for us.
Open daily 10am-6pm
Natural Pool
This is for adults only and is situated almost above the Funcy bar. We didn't use this pool but I have to say it did always look busy.
Open daily 9am-6pm
FunAttic Solarium
This is located on the 8th and top floor and is adults only. I didn't head up there however John did and he loved it. There is a small pool, 2 jacuzzis, lots of sun loungers and a bar. John loved the views as you could see all the way to the ocean and beyond. A lovely place to relax, it was so quiet with chill out music playing. You can also hire Bali Beds too.
Lifeguards were situated at all pools and the pool area felt very safe. We are not sure on the inflatables situation in the pool as some guests were told to remove inflatables from the pool however rubber rings where allowed. I think the rubber rings could be bought from the shop onsite so they are ok to use.
Entertainment & Activities for Families
There is so much going on at Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel and to keep you up to date you can scan a QR code which is dotted around the hotel and in your room. You can also check the flyers in the lifts with information of the entertainment and also the notice board. Honestly you won't miss out on anything as it is clearly communicated throughout the resort.
We didn't use the kids club however we noticed it opened every day at 11am and there would often be a queue so I'm guessing the kids loved it. There is a mini and teen club and both offer daily entertainment program.
Pool Entertainment
Entertainment around the pool also started at 11am as the team headed to poolside singing 'Good Morning'. They would introduce themselves and also give you a brief rundown of the days events. We enjoyed superhero day, pirates day and there was also lots of pool fun and games right up till 5pm most days.
The entertainment team are very subtle and it's much appreciated. We have been to resorts before where they practically drag you off your lounger to join in the fun and games but it's not like that here. They walk around the pool generally asking guests if they would like to join in, not confronting them as they try to sunbathe.
We were lucky to enjoy their first ever pizza making masterclass which was fun. The boys also enjoyed running along the water mat trying to make it to the end without falling off.
There's definitely a lot to do around the pool should you wish to take part or if you prefer to watch from the sun lounger that's fun too.
4EverFun
4EverFun is home to mini disco and evening entertainment aimed for children. The venue itself reminded me of entertainment venues you find at Butlins or Haven holidays here in the UK. Entertainment begins with mini disco and it is very busy so if you want a seat you need to get there early. It opens at 7:30pm but I think mini disco doesn't start till later on.
After mini disco, entertainment continues including acts, games, karaoke. It has a nice atmosphere and is perfect for those travelling with children. We enjoyed a magic show that was both funny and entertaining and was very popular amongst the little ones who were sat on the floor in front of the stage.
There is also a small arcade area with grab machines and games.
Strelitzia Bar
The entertainment here is aimed more at older children and adults. There is a lovely atmosphere in the bar and was definitely our favourite. There was usually a music quiz of some sort at 8pm before an act started at 9pm. The acts were really good with Abba 4Ever being one of our favourites. After the main act has finished we enjoyed more games such as bingo.
The Lounge Area
One of our favourite things to do was play pool and there are two pool tables located in a lounge area on the second floor. Playing pool is a holiday tradition for us, we love it.
Additional Hotel Amenities & Useful Information
There are a few other things I'd like to mention starting with the location. The location of the hotel is Los Cristianos and is a 15 minute walk downhill to the promenade. The main beach area is approx another 15/20 minute walk away although there are some beach areas along the way if you didn't want to walk to the main beach.
As Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel is located on a hill it does mean that your walk back is uphill which might be a struggle in the Summer heat. The hotel actually offers a return complimentary mini bus service from the hotel to the beach every 30 minutes from 9am-1pm then 3:30pm-5:30pm. We enjoyed a walk to and from the beach and also used the bus which I think will be very popular in the warmer months. The bus will drop you close to the main port which is perfect if you are planning to take a boat trip as they leave from this port.
There is an indoor spa at the hotel which is open 10am-6pm as well as a hairdresser available 10am-4pm.
The gym is open 13 hours a day from 7:30am-8:30pm but is 18+. We didn't use this facility however we popped in and there were plenty of machines to use.
Towels are available from the Spa at a cost of 10€ each but that is refundable. You can change the towels as often as you like.
Wifi is available free of charge and you are given the password upon arrival.
A Jet2 representative was available in the hotel at various times throughout our stay and helped with queries we had and also gave us information on our visit to Siam Park and also our boat excursion.

Our Jet2 Holidays Winter Sun Experience
Would we visit Tenerife with the kids again? Absolutely. Our stay at Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel exceeded our expectations in so many ways. It was our first visit to Tenerife and also our first time on a Winter Sun holiday. There is a reason why we choose to fly and holiday with Jet2 and it's because the overall package is outstanding. From the flight to Tenerife to landing back in the UK nothing seemed to much trouble for any of the staff on board, at the airport or in the hotel. This was our 3rd Jet2 Holiday in a row and it won't be our last. All we need to do now is start planning our next one!
