Glow Travel Sleep Easy

Disclosure - We were sent the Glow Travel Sleep Easy for the purpose of this post. All thoughts, opinions and photographs are our own.

As a family we love to travel. We love spending days exploring new and old places but when it comes to bedtime it can be a tough as 2 out of the 4 of us struggle to get asleep. It's always been like this and over the years we have tried all sorts but nothing really works. This Summer we will be trying out the Glow Travel Sleep Easy. We are already using it at home but as it's travel friendly I cannot wait to see if it makes those restless nights more peaceful.

Getting Started was easy we twisted the lid to open and popped in an oil pad. There are 5 included. We then added the aromatherapy oil, popped the lid back on and switched on the power button.

There are many features to support good sleep including

Red LED light - Encourages the brain to produce more melatonin - the hormone that prepares our cells for sleep. There are 3 setting which you can tap to increase the light from dim to bright.

Pink Noise - Organic pink noise creates a consistent soundscape to prevent unnecessary wake ups and help the brain achieve deep Slow-Wave sleep. You can tap to adjust the volume. Pink noise helps to reduce household noise such as pets and traffic which can cause wake ups.

The Glow Travel Sleep Easy has a 2hr, 4hr and 12hr setting which is controlled by pressing the button and also a child lock feature.

Once charged it has a full 12hr battery life however it can also be plugged in if you are at home.

The Glow Travel Sleep Easy is a compact and portable device which has just two parts making it a perfect travelling companion. It can fit easy in to a cup holder in car or buggy.

The Glow Travel Sleep Easy is not just for little ones, we have been using it too and it really has helped support better sleep at home and I know this will really help us when travelling this Summer.

AD | How To Get A Perfect Nights Sleep

Disclosure - This is a paid post in collaboration with Julian Charles

As a parent I am always talking about routines and how they are important for children especially a bedtime routine. We mastered the bedroom routine with little J and he is a really good sleeper, enjoying up to 12 hours a night. So if we know routines are good then why as adults do we not practice what we preach? I know I don't have a good bedtime routine, neither does John and that can sometimes cause us to have less than the recommend 8 hours sleep a night. This obviously effects us massively the next day with us often feeling tired and wanting to head back to bed rather than go to work. I've been thinking about ways that I can get the perfect nights sleep so I thought I would share my tips.

TechSavvyDad Tuesday - S+ by ResMed Review

Sleep. Does anyone ever get enough these days? I know that being a dad to two boys, one a toddler and one a teen, there is a huge differential in the times that they sleep. Little J is often asleep by 6pm and up again ready for the next day at 5am whereas Big J will be in bed by 10pm on a school night and much later at weekends. I get to sleep in-between these times but generally I have some ‘Dad’ time that means actually I think I average around 6 hours each night. I know that's not enough, but how can we monitor and improve our sleep? I have tried a few apps from the google play store over the years, with mixed results. I have never stuck to one app to try to improve my sleep as I haven’t yet been convinced that any of them actually work. I have been trying the S+ by ResMed to try and improve my sleep.

What Kind Of Sleeper Is Your Baby?

I remember when I was having little J all I could think about was whether he would be a good sleeper or not. It sounds bad but after big J being awake 22 hours of the day when he was young, I had a feeling that little J would be the same. As parents looking after a newborn, toddler or a child sleep is so important and when you don't get any it is all you can think about. Luckily for us little J loves his sleep so we haven't really had any sleepless nights in the whole 3 years, really hope he never changes.

Little J's Bed Time

When it comes to sleeping my two boys are completely the opposite, they couldn't be more different if they tried. When big J was younger he wouldn't sleep at all. He was awake all day and most of the night. We tried everything from getting in to bed with him to sleeping on his floor, anything to try and get a few hours sleep. He was permanently tired and so were we. Little J on the other hand is awake all day and sleeps all night and has done since he was a baby. He went in his own room in his cot and would quite happily fall asleep on his own and still does now. He goes to bed awake and within 10-15 minutes he is snoring.
