#AirFryerTakeIn - Making Chocolate Brownies with Philips AirFryer

Since I joined Slimming World I have been noticing calories and fat content more than I ever have in the past. I am conscious all the time especially when eating out. When Philips asked us to take the #AirFryerTakeIn challenge I was quite excited as I love using our Airfryer. For those that are not familiar with the Airfryer you can visit our Airfryer Review. We were sent a selection of different recipes to make that have less calories than if you were eating out.

Our first choice was Chocolate Brownies.

 Ingredients

200g Butter
100g Dark Chocolate
100g White Chocolate
4 Small Eggs
200 g Sugar
2 tbsp Vanilla Extract
100g Flour
For added crunch 150g of Tropical Mix - A Blend of Dried Fruits & Nuts
1 Cake Tin 20cm c 20cm greased
Airfryer.

Serves 8-10
Prep Time - 20 minutes
Cook Time - 30 minutes

After Preheating the Airfryer to 180 degrees, melt half of the butter with the dark chocolate in a thick - bottomed pan.

Melt the white chocolate in another pan with the rest of the butter.

Once melted leave to cool.

Add 2 tbsp of vanilla essence in to a bowl.

Add the eggs and sugar.

Beat the mixture. Add half of the egg-sugar mixture to the dark chocolate and the other half to the white chocolate.

Add half of the flour to the dark chocolate mixture and the rest to the white chocolate mixture.

Stir.

Pour the white and brown brownie mixture into different sides of the cake tin. Use a spatula to partially mix the two colours creating a swirling effect.

Bake the brownies for about 30 minutes. When ready the surface should be dry to touch.

Until now we have never used the Airfryer for baking just usual every day cooking. It was so easy to use and perfect for us as we don't usually bake. I wasn't sure whether the brownies would taste good as this is our first ever attempt at baking brownies but they were really tasty.

I can't wait to create another recipe from the #AirFryerTakeIn recipe book.
