Frontline Plus - Protection For Your Pets

You may already know from previous posts that when I was younger we had two dogs. They were so much fun and I helped out when it came to looking after them. I would feed them, take them for walks and I would give them a bath. The only thing I didn't get involved with was keeping them healthy, that was my parents’ job. They would make sure they had their vaccinations done, their nails cut and took them to the vets for regular checkups. I remember one time my Mum sat me down and told me that one of our dogs had fleas and needed a treatment. I could see something black on her beautiful white coat, it was a flea. She was scratching and looked quite distressed and so uncomfortable. It's important as a pet owner to know that there are preventive treatments out there to help protect your dog or cat, including new FRONTLINE® Plus. When it comes to fleas, prevention is definitely better than cure!

I have spoken about FRONTLINE® before and how their spot on treatments can help protect your pets from fleas and ticks. However, the new 'double action' FRONTLINE Plus also protects your home from fleas. It not only kills fleas and ticks on the pet, it also contains an active ingredient that stops flea eggs from hatching and larvae developing in the home. This is important as 95% of a flea problem can be found in the home as eggs, larvae and pupae.

If you have a pet that has had fleas you will know it’s not pleasant to find them on your beloved pet, but for me it's worse to find them in your home. FRONTLINE Plus are touring the country with an ‘inflatable house' that is open to pet owners. The house has a typical living room and garden area. FRONTLINE Plus encourages visitors into the house to look out for key facts about fleas and ticks. There will be veterinary professionals on hand to help with any questions you have about ticks and fleas.

The house will appear at various locations, which I will list below, so make sure you check it out. There will be an opportunity for you to take part in a flea and tick fact hunt and by doing so you can win instant rewards through a 'lucky dip' giveaway. Also, if you sign up to the FRONTLINE free treatment reminder service you will have the chance to win a £1,500 pet-friendly Forest Holiday or one of five pet photo shoots worth £500.*

Don’t forget to share your fun experience of the 'house' across social media.

The FRONTLINE Plus House was unveiled at London Victoria train station on September 1st and is visiting five pet shows around the UK:

Paws in the Park, Kent – 17th-18th September
All About Dogs, Essex – 24th-25th September
Family Pet Show, Manchester – 1st-2nd October
Discover Dogs, London – 22nd-23rd October
National Pet Show, Birmingham – 5th-6th November

I will attend the Family Pet Show in Manchester, do come along!

Gogglebox’s favourite couple (and proud owners of Gigi (the miniature Dachshund)), Steph and Dom Parker, have been brought on board as spokespeople to help spread the word about the campaign alongside TV Vet, Dr. Scott Miller. Keep an eye on their social media for updates on the campaign and also in the newspapers too.
